TANK: The inauguration of the Iran-Pakistan pipeline is a very welcome step because Pakistan is in dire need of new energy sources. The project is a right step in the right direction and if completed properly and in time, it will help Pakistan fulfil its energy needs and overcome the menace of power outages that has come to affect our national economy in such a massive way. Furthermore, and equally importantly, the pipeline has the potential to create an atmosphere of peace, friendship, mutual trust and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
The project is of utmost importance for the whole region. Both Pakistan and Iran should strive very hard to achieve this valuable goal with huge short- and long-term benefits for them.
