KARACHI: This is with reference to the article “Do as the French do” by Zara Barlas (September 18). I’m sure that if the situation had been reversed, that is, if the full-face veil was made compulsory, France would have been condemned for that too. The writer is supporting the ban because she possibly doesn’t agree with the full-face veil. This article is just a reflection of the writer’s personal preference.
