KARACHI: Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan with a population of about 20 million. A large number of police personnel of the city are being diverted to ensure the security of VIPs, which has become a massive problem for the general public. The police have to reduce the number of VIP deployments to free up personnel to protect the people of the city. One wonders why our VIPs need to travel in cars with tinted glass and armed bodyguards, as well as complete police escorts.
