It seems that the Karachi police, which are responsible for ensuring the security of the people is doing nothing.
KARACHI: Recently, a kidnapping attempt in a shopping mall in Clifton, Karachi, was bravely foiled by the security staff of the mall in which one of the security guards literally put his life on the line to save an innocent girl and her family from being kidnapped. The management of the said shopping mall has set a high standard as far as security provision is concerned and administrations of other public places should take note of this. It seems that the Karachi police, which are responsible for ensuring the security of the people is doing nothing and people may be left with no choice but to protect their own lives and properties. Luckily, the entire episode was recorded by CCTV cameras. The car and a few other belongings of the kidnappers have been recovered from the mall which should help the police apprehend the culprits. The ease with which the kidnappers walked away from the scene after the foiled attempt was an eye-opener. It seemed as if they had no worries at all even if they were caught. I wonder how safe our sisters and daughters are in the streets of Karachi.
