LAHORE: I would like to draw the attention of the authorities of DHA, Islamabad, towards the slow progress in development of DHA Valley in the city. Thousands of investors, like myself, invested in this residential scheme trusting the DHA’s reputable name. Though I was warned against investing here, I decided to proceed on the premsie that the DHA will not renege from its responsibilities.
I am aghast at the mismanagement and utter lack of professionalism shown by the DHA Islamabad in the development of DHA Valley and the handing over to investors. The last letter investors received from the DHA was before the last quarterly installment was due in August 2011. This letter stated that the last installment should be kept on hold till the DHA demands it. This was ostensibly to avoid probable legal suits that could have resulted if full payments had been made by investors but there had been failure in delivering the plots to the rightful owners.
Also, I heard a few months back that an inquiry regarding this state of affairs is lying with NAB, which must have accumulated heaps of dust till now. My biggest fear is that if this turns out to be another mega scam, billions of hard-earned money of thousands of investors will be lost. Can someone responsible from the DHA and NAB respond?
