LONDON: This is in reference to the article “Whatever happened to the thinking man?” by Anwer Mooraj (September 16). The thinking man has become too aware of what other people think and say. It is easier to hide behind a dribble of nationalism than to face a discussion head on. It is easier to accept the most insane explanation that fits our world view, then to thoroughly dissect the problem at hand. What can we expect when an entire generation of Pakistanis has been brought up to believe, that access to the most expensive latest mobile phone denotes progress?
