The only use for weapons should be to provide security and to prevent crimes.
KARACHI: This is in reference to Ahmer Ashraf’s article “Stop pointing your gun at me” (September 10). I would tend to agree with much of what the writer has said. The fact is that we have become used to seeing weapons in our midst, because they are prevalent and visible. The only use for weapons should be to provide security and to prevent crimes – but they are not used for this purpose at all.
