What happened exactly?

Letter January 21, 2013
Who exactly gained anything, given that assemblies were anyway going to be dissolved in March?

KARACHI: I don’t really understand what exactly happened with the end of the Long March. The end agreement was signed between Tahirul Qadri and a prime minister whom just a couple of days before he had said had become an ‘ex-prime minister’. Who exactly gained anything, given that assemblies were anyway going to be dissolved in March? A point of concern for the entire nation should be that a foreign national can go to the federal capital and jam its streets for over four days, without the government doing anything to stop him from this kind of disruptive action.
