KARACHI: This is in reference to the article “Don’t act surprised” by George Fulton (August 25). The writer is merely telling the readers exactly what you and I come across on a daily basis in cities, towns and villages of Pakistan. Please, instead of criticising the author for his brutal honestly let’s try to work towards getting rid of the brutality which our fellow Pakistani’s have descended into. Let us demand an education system that teaches tolerance, sympathy, dignity and honor. Let us teach our children to respect other human beings and protect other individual’s rights. Let them know that Abdul Sattar Edhi should be their role model and hero. These steps should be initially taken on an individual basis by taking personal responsibility for our actions.
