NEW YORK: Sami Shah’s op-ed article “Flood? What flood?” of September 9 is very well-written. The writer has taken a realistic view of the absurd amount of effort we have been expending on how uncouth and uncivilised we are as a nation. And all this while an eighth of the population, affected by the floods, is living for its survival.
