LAHORE: I condemn the murder of Shahzeb Khan. However, I am appalled how every second person who is killed in this country is made a martyr overnight. We don’t know what exactly transpired. It takes two to make a fight.
The father of the deceased is an old police veteran having risen from the lower ranks so it would be a fair question to ask whether he had also, for all these years, kept his eyes closed regarding the other crimes in the city.
Once again, I condemn the murder of Shahzeb Khan but I urge the media and the youth not to be so quick to jump on the blame bandwagon without giving the accused a chance to defend himself or hear his side of the story.
