Celebrating Christmas in Pakistan

Letter January 01, 2013
On the Punjab chief minister’s Facebook page for December 25, one couldn’t find a single Christmas wish.

LAHORE: This is with reference to Samira Shackle’s article of December 31 titled “Celebrating Christmas in Pakistan”.

The most shameful thing is that in Punjab, which has the largest community of Christians in Pakistan, and in almost every city where one can find several churches, the ruling provincial leadership did not even wish Christians a Merry Christmas. On the chief minister’s Facebook page for December 25, one couldn’t find a single Christmas wish, so even any token mention such as this was missing. This is not good.
