Air Commodore MM Alam, one of the greatest fighter pilots, is critically ill and is admitted in armed forces’ hospital
KARACHI: Despite the chaos created over the years by the so-called leaders of this beautiful country, Pakistan has produced some fine individuals who make all of us proud. Among them is Air Commodore MM Alam, undoubtedly one of the greatest fighter pilots the world has ever seen. Alam sahib shot down nine Indian aircraft in the 1965 India-Pakistan war.
Presently, Commodore Alam is critically ill and is admitted in one of the armed forces’ hospitals. Being a retired Pakistan Air Force officer myself, I know about his ailment and keep praying for his speedy recovery. But I am very disappointed with my country’s print and electronic media which has ignored this war hero’s current plight. A country that forgets its heroes can never flourish.
