LAHORE: According to a report, the Lahore High Court has said that the action by the Lahore administration against sheesha cafes is legal since it lies within the ambit of The Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smokers Health Ordinance of 2002.
That said, restaurants are not government-owned and are not for the general public since they reserve the right of admission. In Dubai, there are special sheesha cafes and anyone who has lived there knows that the UAE is quite particular about implementing laws. What I don’t understand is why are there so many restrictions on things that can be a source of personal enjoyment?
What we should do, instead of banning things, is to educate people and then let them decide for themselves what is good or bad for them.
