SIALKOT: This is in reference to the article “Willing Executioners — II” by Ali Hashmi (September 7). Some writers have highlighted the faults in our society which is a pleasant change from the self-glorifying image that most of our society has of itself. Our public is largely intolerant and often has the tendency to be self-righteous. Instead of living in denial, we should start facing the fact that there are serious shortcomings in our people and society. Only when we realise this can we move forward towards a solution.
