LAHORE: This is with reference to the article, “Chaudhry Nisar slams Altaf Hussain” (September 3). In the past 63 years, the people of Pakistan have been fooled by army generals (as dictators) and civilian governments several times. The MQM shared power with civilian and military governments for over 20 years. The MQM chief became a British national and the fact of the matter is that he cannot really return home. He is enjoying his life and ruling a political party from afar and there really is no need for him to come back. Feudal lords, politicians and generals all need to explain themselves but so does the MQM chief since he is also a politician, like others.
Only a people’s revolution, guided by a revolutionary leader, can save Pakistan. Otherwise we are doomed to remain a third world country ruled by world powers through nominated rulers.
