KARACHI: It has been seven years since I have been travelling to my office located in the SITE area of Karachi. The gloomy picture that the road network there presents gives a really outdated look to the area. Industrial areas in developed countries are worth seeing but opposite is the case in SITE.
One cannot help but grit his teeth while enduring the bumps and potholes that mark the road from the Habib Bank Chowrangi to the Lyari Football Stadium. Traffic often stays suspended for long hours due to the dilapidated condition of the roads and heavy traffic passing over these potholes often poses a threat to those travelling in smaller vehicles. This is a serious issue of concern for the authorities and needs immediate attention so that the difficulties of commuters can be alleviated.
