ISLAMABAD: Senator Iqbal Haider was a true humanist and a passionate advocate of human and women’s rights. He always struggled and argued for the rights of the downtrodden and violence against women in Pakistan. His activism and articulation in favour of the downtrodden, right and against wrong was beyond words. As everybody says, he was an asset for Pakistani society, whose untimely loss has left a void in the ranks of those who can stand up and speak up for rights. We stand with his family through this crisis and pray that Allah Almighty grants them fortitude and grace to face this great loss.
