Making a change

Letter November 06, 2012
One cannot make wholesale changes overnight. One or two changes a year should be a more acceptable objective for all.

HYDERABAD, INDIA: This is with reference to Feisal H Naqvi’s article “Gresham’s law and public morality” (November 6). While I appreciate Mr Naqvi’s intentions of trying to make a positive change in a bid to put together a set of policy reforms for the Supreme Court Bar Association and the way its leadership operates, I hope he does not commit the mistake that Anna Hazare did in India. One cannot make wholesale changes overnight. One or two changes a year should be a more acceptable objective for all. This way, in 10 years’ time, you may have made 20 changes, which is quite good.
