Most Pakistanis who call themselves liberals are actually pro-war, something which I find extremely odd.
RAWALPINDI: This is with reference to Yaqoob Khan Bangash’s article “The Pakistani liberal” (October 30). It was interesting to read Mr Bangash’s attempts to define the Pakistani liberal. It seems that everyone in Pakistan has given himself/herself the title of a liberal, regardless of the fact that traditionally, a liberal is considered to be someone who is anti-war. Most Pakistanis who call themselves liberals are actually pro-war, something which I find extremely odd.
