ISLAMABAD: I have all the respect for Talat Hussain but I disagree with him in his most recent article ‘Get another passport’. If I may say so, as do the majority of Pakistanis, that the president of Pakistan is not good at his job, and that does not mean that I am showing disrespect for the presidency, but only commenting on the performance, or lack thereof, of the president. If I say that Pakistan has started three wars, that Pakistanis have made for themselves a global image of a corrupt people, that Pakistan’s political parties are elitist and self-serving, that its cricketers are a disgrace, it does not mean that I do not love Pakistan. It merely means that I wish to identify the wrongs and correct them.
