Streetlights

Letter October 22, 2012
Some streetlights on Main Abul Hasan Ispahani Road are not illuminated and have been defunct for quite some time now.

KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned, whether it is the KESC or the local city administration in Karachi, regarding non-operational streetlights. Some of the streetlights on Main Abul Hasan Ispahani Road (from Safari Park to Maskan Chowrangi) are not illuminated and have been defunct for quite some time now. Please rectify the problem as Abul Hasan Ispahani Road is always in the news for all the wrong reasons, i.e., for targeted killings, street crimes, etc. In fact, the streetlights of the entire city must be made functional as criminals and robbers have been known to play havoc in the dark, with people getting mugged regularly.

The citizens of Karachi will be extremely grateful if the relevant authorities look into the matter and resolve it at the earliest.
