KARACHI: We all are well aware of the energy crisis that is plaguing Pakistan but the unfortunate thing is that we do nothing about it. Other than blame the KESC or the government, do we take any measures to conserve electricity?
In our offices and homes, most of us leave air conditioners and lights switched on, even when the rooms are empty. In offices, many of us don’t make the effort to switch off lights and fans once we have left the workplace. At home, the same thing happens, and perhaps even worse, because many people in a single family have their own computer and television and so on.
Since the crisis is not going to go away any time soon, I would urge each one of us to do whatever we can to conserve electricity.
