ISLAMABAD: Like ruthless rulers of the past, the present rulers of Sindh are living in fabulous luxury while the vast majority of people suffer in poverty and deprivation due to man-made and natural disasters that have struck the province. Each new day brings new sorrows and sufferings for them. The rulers and the executive have no regard for people’s feelings and aspirations. In utter disregard for the people of the province, they are in a mood to achieve disservice to the province. They seem to be in a mood to legalise corruption, crime and discrimination in the form of the local government law.
Sindh has been a source of highly intelligent and carefully trained professionals possessing a wide variety of skills, having practised their professions all over the world, particularly in Middle Eastern countries. In addition, everyone who has travelled in Sindh has seen the variety of natural resources that the province possesses.
Why, then, has Sindh come to this terrible state? The answer is simple: corrupt rulers, a good-for-nothing bureaucracy and an incompetent technocracy. As long as these people reign over Sindh, it will remain in this terrible state.
