Looks like rationality and reason is slowly departing from this country.

This is with reference to Khaled Ahmed’s article “Did Americans stage 9/11” (October 7). Let us summarise what we have seen in the last few weeks: the head of a top university in Pakistan spins a conspiracy theory about the 9/11 attacks; the chairman of the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research endorses a fake scientist claiming to run a car that uses water as fuel; and a sitting minister of the government (supposedly from a liberal, secular party) announces bounties for killing the maker of the blasphemous film.
Looks like rationality and reason is slowly departing from this country.
