Mr Bilour’s ‘grand’ offer

Letter September 24, 2012
In all honesty, people who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones.

KARACHI: On September 22, I read about Railway Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour’s offer of a $100,000 bounty for the head of the man who made the blasphemous video and I am extremely appalled by this senseless act.

In all honesty, people who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones. Before making such grand offers, Mr Bilour should have checked the state of his ministry first. The Pakistan Railways is on the verge of collapse. It has not made any profit ever since Mr Bilour took office as minister for railways. If he has such huge sums of money to spare, why doesn’t he use them for the welfare of the railways and its employees?
