Why burn your own country? (II)

Letter September 22, 2012
The Muslim world today is hostage to its own corrupt leadership.

BLOOMINGTON, IL, US: While one can understand the anger and outrage arising from the blasphemous films, violent protests will serve no purpose other than to further weaken our own economy. Let us show our love for our Holy Prophet (pbuh) by working for betterment of all citizens and this can be done by imparting them education, health, security and employment through honest political leadership that is held accountable through rule of law. The Muslim world today is hostage to its own corrupt leadership. The blasphemous film, which never achieved any commercial success, was made by an Egyptian Coptic Christian immigrant to the US, who has a criminal record. In the 1990s, he served time in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine and later in 2010, he pleaded guilty to bank fraud and served 21 months in prison and was released on probation in June 2011.
