Why burn your own country?

Letter September 22, 2012
Purpose served by destroying shops, cars, and other property owned by our own fellow Pakistanis?

KARACHI: What purpose could have possibly been served by destroying shops, cars, and other property owned by our own fellow Pakistanis? The way thousands of Pakistanis behaved on September 21 is an insult to the legacy of patience and tolerance left behind by our Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Despite several appeals from prominent political leaders, protests were not held peacefully. It seems that for the protesters, torching and looting banks and attacking members of law-enforcement agencies was the way of showing their love for the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
