Done with monarchs, government bigwigs, French revolution then started victimising those who would not join them.
NEW DELHI: This is with reference to the news item “Man accused of blasphemy for refusing to join anti-Islam film protest: Report” (September 19). During the French Revolution, similar incidents were witnessed. The revolutionaries first executed the monarchy, then they turned on the bigwigs in government, and then started victimising people who would not join the revolution or get excited about it. Eventually, the revolution killed its own children and the French went back to what they were before. History repeats itself they say, unless you learn from it.
