Coverage of the judiciary

Letter September 12, 2012
Let us put an end to the daily coverage of the chief justice’s statements for the benefit of his office.

ISLAMABAD: Nowhere in the world do newspapers post statements coming from the head of judiciary, every other day as their lead story. This regular exposure to media invites ridicule and brings controversy to the office of the chief justice. Justice speaks through the power of pen, not words. Let us put an end to the daily coverage of the chief justice’s statements for the benefit of his office.
