By the time of his death he had outlived his role as a leader of a Palestinian Intifada.
KARACHI: A French murder probe into the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat prompted by an Israeli denial of responsibility for his death raises the question of why investigate this matter given that the man died almost eight years ago. Is it a ploy, perhaps, to divert the world’s attention away from the plight of the Palestinian people and Israel’s atrocities against them? Yasser Arafat is dead and whatsoever is the outcome of this obscure investigation will not change the fact that by the time of his death he had outlived his role as a leader of a Palestinian Intifada.
