NEW DELHI: With the attack on the Kamra base, the TTP wanted to make a point that they can strike anywhere, any time and they made that point very well. Let’s look at the facts. Those who joined the army during General Ziaul Haq’s time were all indoctrinated with an extremist ideology. All of a sudden, Pakistan had to change tack and act against the very extremist forces it helped nurture.
There are surely elements within the establishment who do not like this and give support to the TTP. With the help of this inside support, the TTP is able to strike. The solution to this is to purge such elements from the defence forces. Blaming India, the US and Israel will not help.
