I find it extremely offensive to identify a single political party (PTI) or entity in this manner.
KARACHI: This is with reference to Feisal H Naqvi’s article “Saving Pakistan, one tweet at a time” (July 26). The writer has described Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) supporters as the “only violent tribe in our virtual world”. I find this extremely offensive to identify a single political party or entity in this manner.
The PTI certainly has a heavy presence on social media due to the fact that it has a large proportion of educated youth in its fold but their sheer numbers shouldn’t intimidate anyone. There are many others who are more adept at launching diatribes but have fewer members on the social media so their activities don’t get the attention that PTI supporters get, which is highly unfair.
