LAHORE: This refers to the photo Gurdwara Rori Sahib on page two of The Express Tribune ET (July 12). The caption says that the gurdwara is situated in “Aminabad in Sialkot’ and that it was reconstructed by Raja Ranjeet Singh “550 years ago”. For one, Eminabad (not Aminabad) lies a few kilometres east of Gujranwala and is not in Sialkot. Secondly, 550 years ago (in 1462), there were still seven years for the great Guru Nanak Dev to be born. Therefore, there was no Sikh religion at that time. As for Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, he was born in 1780 and passed away in 1839 after a reign of 40 years.
