Security personnel failed to check Mr Malik when he passed by the checkposts in a private vehicle without any protocol
KARACHI: According to various TV channels, Mr Rehman Malik suspended the personnel posted at five checkposts established for countering any terrorist activity on various roads of Islamabad. The reason given was that they failed to check Mr Malik when he passed by the checkposts in a private vehicle without any protocol.
The suspended staff, instead, should have been thanked and rewarded for letting Mr Malik go without stopping and getting chai pani from him. If Mr Malik really wanted to check the alertness of the staff at checkpost, then he should have travelled on a motorbike or some rickety vehicle.
