If Pakistan had to finally agree to this US position of being jointly responsible then why all this fracas?
MUMBAI: This is with reference to Raza Rumi’s article of July 5 titled “Why it took so long for Nato supplies to reopen”.
The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton carefully selected her words wherein she implied that the Pakistan Army also contributed to the Salala tragedy. If Pakistan had to finally agree to this US position of being jointly responsible then why all this fracas? No change in transit fees, no respite from drones, no prior approval from the Parliamentary Committee. What does it finally bring on the table for Pakistan? Nothing, really — whereas US/Nato seem to have gotten everything they wanted.
