What plan does the Pakistani government have after the US and Nato forces withdraw from the region?
HOUSTON, TEXAS: This is with reference to your editorial “Nato routes and our national pride” (July 5). What plan does the Pakistani government have after the US and Nato forces withdraw from the region? The need for transporting supplies will then be reduced and so will Pakistan’s utility to the US. What will the future of US aid to Pakistan be in such a scenario? This will depend on how Pakistan behaves. Not cracking down on militant havens inside Pakistan will have harsh consequences. Harping on honour and pride will not put food on the table for the poor people of Pakistan.
