ISLAMABAD: Breaking completely from their past mistakes, our public representatives must become — or at least try to become — role models for the people of this country. This may look like a tall order but we have no other option to rescue the state from the impending total collapse. I guess our present and would-be members of parliament know what a model leader means. If my advice is practised, Pakistan can become one of the leading model states of the world.
From the present crop of politicos I am not expecting emergence of many role models but one is unable to see any other way forward, towards progress and towards realising Jinnah’s Pakistan.
