It has now been over six months and those who were chosen are still waiting for their offer letter.
SHIKARPUR: Through this letter I would like to invite the attention of your readers, as well as the authorities concerned, to the plight of those selected by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) for government posts in November of last year and to the fact that they are still waiting for their offer letters.
The SPSC advertised 16 posts of probation officers via an advertisement and 13 posts of parole officers in advertisement via another advertisement. All the posts are for the Sindh Home Department. The written tests for both these posts were held in April 2011 in Hyderabad and results of both exams ware announced together on October 21, 2011. The interviews were held in November 2011 and the final results were announced in the third week of November 2011. It has now been over six months since then and those who were chosen are still waiting for their offer letter. We are at a complete loss to understand the reasons for the delay because all it does is sow seeds of doubt in the minds of those who have been chosen, that somehow their due right to the post is going to be taken away.
We would request the Sindh government, especially the minister for prisons, to immediately issue the offer letters.
