PESHAWAR: I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the issue of the appointment of the federal ombudsman. The said post has been lying vacant for over six months now. The office of the federal ombudsman is there for resolving the cases of the common man more quickly as compared with the traditional courts.
Why is such an important post pertaining to dispensing swift justice being ignored by the government? If there are any problems pertaining to the appointment of the federal ombudsman, then surely in a democratic set-up, such problems must be resolved in days, not in months. I humbly request the authorities concerned to appoint a federal ombudsman immediately.
