Economic problems, high levels of poverty are another factor contributing to poor/fake democracy in our country.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Dr SM Taha’s article “Fake Democracy” (May 31). I believe that economic problems and high levels of poverty are another factor contributing to poor/fake democracy in our country. Someone struggling day in and day out to eke out a decent living in order to support their family, having little else on their mind cannot be expected to be interested in the so-called political process in Pakistan.
