Why did the government and the military make such a fuss over the issue?
LAHORE: Finally, it seems that the government will be reopening the Nato supply routes, which had been closed for over six months. I have one simple question: why did the government and the military make such a fuss over the issue, demanding a formal apology from the Americans and cessation of drone attacks when in the end they got neither?
Yes, reports suggest that the US will be paying an additional 365 million dollars a year to Pakistan and that is welcomed news given the state of our economy, but surely this needn’t have taken over six months to negotiate.
