Dr Hoodbhoy presented a valid argument regardless of how ‘offensive’ it might have been for the ‘ghairat-brigade’.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Ejaz Haider’s article of May 16 titled “The paradox reigns supreme”. Why is it that when an article goes viral (as was the case with Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy’s original article, “Let us become — proudly — bayghairat”), several follow-up articles appear trying to cash in on the popularity of the original piece.
Dr Hoodbhoy presented a very valid argument regardless of how ‘offensive’ it might have been for the ‘ghairat-brigade’. Those who see themselves as part of the latter need to come up with something original instead of trying to give rebuttals and ‘clarifications’ which seem nothing more than rants.
