Bless you, Jemima Layzell

A 13-year-old British girl saved the lives of eight people after she donated her organs just before dying.

KARACHI: According to a report in the press, a 13-year-old British girl saved the lives of eight people after she donated her organs just before dying (because of complications brought about by a brain haemorrhage). Jemima Layzell of London is reported to have always wanted to donate her organs and save precious lives. The lives of three adults and five children were saved after they received her organs. In addition to this, two people received eye grafts from her, which helped restore their vision. Two adults, aged 19 and 24, received her kidneys while a 40-year-old man received her pancreas. She has left a lasting legacy and example in the world, for people in other countries to follow as well. May God rest her soul in peace and award her a place in heaven.

I suggest that a picture of Jemima Layzell with a brief explanation in Urdu of what she did should be displayed in all schools in Pakistan as an example for our young generation to emulate.
