PESHAWAR: This is with reference to Kamran Shafi’s article “The merry-go-round” (May 11). Mr Shafi never fails to impress with his ability of calling spade a spade and putting things so succinctly for all to see. He is a master of highlighting in simple words the grand delusion and the self-denial of the establishment.
Mr Shafi has taken a leadership position amongst Pakistani columnists who are either unable to narrate things so aptly or are too scared to appear on the radar, lest they meet with a fate similar to that of Saleem Shahzad. Mr Shafi’s sane voice, which is far louder than many other voices put together, gets noticed and if nothing else, definitely makes his readers more aware of the precarious situation in Pakistan.
