KARACHI: This is with reference to Khurram Husain’s article “Wrong pitch, Mr Finance Minister!” (May 3). I wouldn’t have been surprised if Western donors had told our finance minister to show them some positive signs in Pakistan’s economy before asking for assistance.
But, of course, such things never happen. These donors will again dole out a few dollars but on even stricter conditions and we will be forced to carry out policies that they favour.
