RAWALPINDI: Mr Sami Shah has displayed shortsightedness in his article when he implied that the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) has never done anything of note for the country. He has completely ignored all the social work that the JI did during natural calamities, be it the 2005 earthquake or floods. The faction of pseudo liberals that the writer represents never came out of their homes to help the poor, while the JI is running the massive Al-khidmat organisation to help the poor of Pakistan.
