The use of bicycles by adults, especially women, is important for our country.
LAHORE: This is with reference to Muna Siddiqui’s article “Motorcycle diaries” (April 20). The writer has correctly pointed out that the use of bicycles by adults, especially women, is important for our country. Not only do they take up less space on the road, they also contribute to a reduction in traffic congestion and allow for greater interaction with the general public. Of course, they are very friendly to the environment and that is another reason why they should be ridden more. Furthermore, one should also not forget the fact that riding a bicycle also makes for very good exercise. And they do not cost that much, compared with even a motorcycle.
