The DHA should post guards at all times to enforce this rule.
KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of both the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and the Cantonment Board to highlight the danger to the public caused by making Khayaban-e-Shamsheer a one-way road.
Since it is one of the busiest roads in Defence and as I happen to live opposite the Khadda market, I can vouch for the fact that hardly anyone follows the new one-way rule on this road, especially once the police and DHA personnel go off duty. There are no sign-boards or traffic personnel present to guide drivers and motorists along the right way to take. I can see the panic and confusion that this decision has caused amongst those who use this road, with the chaos often leading to accidents.
Immediate action needs to be taken before any lives are lost. The DHA should post guards at all times to enforce this rule, otherwise the whole idea behind implementing it will come to naught.
