I would like to draw the attention of concerned authorities to the condition of the service road opposite The Forum.
KARACHI: I am a resident of Clifton block 8, Khayaban-e-Jami, Karachi. I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the shabby condition of the service road opposite The Forum. After living through the torturously long period while the Karachi Port Trust underpass was being constructed, the ordeal of the residents of the area was prolonged by a faulty drainage system.
The problem with the drainage system was resolved in quick time but nobody paid any attention to the damage caused to the service road during the repair work. Almost five years have gone by and the condition of this road has deteriorated further with potholes, dug up sidewalks and leaking underground pipelines, causing severe inconvenience to motorists, pedestrians and residents of the area. It is requested that this situation be rectified at once.
